Broke on even terms, settled midfield early behind Earth, loomed second turning for home in Espareanza’s slipstream, gathered momentum in the straight, battled stride for stride before surging past late to score going away at the wire
Level break, sat second last in the early stages, still towards the rear approaching the home turn, improved steadily once heads turned for home, threaded through runners and finished powerfully in the closing stages to snatch an impressive second
Smooth beginning, tracked Esparanza on the inside in second early, held a handy spot rounding the bend, was there with Western Star and Earth at the top of the straight, stayed on under pressure to hold third without threatening the first two
Out smartly, the early leader showing good speed, brought them into the home straight in front and led by about two at the 400, came under pressure as Social Butterfly ranged up, fought on but was overhauled late and weakened to finish fourth
Nice break, raced in the bunch early between Big Bay and Chilini, moved up on the outside to be prominent behind Esparanza and Social Butterfly into the straight, kept on one-paced under pressure and was passed late, finishing a steady fifth
Level start but dropped out last in the early strides, remained at the tail approaching the bend, was still near the rear when they straightened, came through past a few tiring rivals in the final 300 metres to finish a staying-on sixth
Broke well, held a prominent early position in the centre behind Esparanza and Fontana, raced in close attendance through the back stretch, turned for home in mid-division, then came under pressure and gradually faded in the straight to end up seventh
Clean jump, settled towards the rear with Scaramouche, racing behind Western Star and Big Bay early, swung for home still among the backmarkers, failed to pick up meaningfully in the run to the judge and finished one from the rear
Level break but posted about five or six off the fence in the early going, raced wide in the bunch behind the leaders, cornered for home still on the outer, could not improve under pressure through the straight and dropped away to finish last
