Tracked mid-pack on the fence early, improved steadily past the 800, loomed wide as heads turned for home from about fifth, warmed up strongly in the straight, surged clear in the last 50 meters to win decisively
Settled toward the rear after a level break, still behind mid-race past the 1000, improved around runners approaching the bend from about eighth, stayed on resolutely in the straight, finishing powerfully to grab a clear second
Broke well to sit second behind Merchant of Venice, cruised in that spot till the 800, swept up to lead at the top of the straight from first around the bend, fought on under pressure but was collared late and finished third
Dropped out last early, tailed the field past the 1400 and 1000, began improving around the 800, circled runners to be closing from about seventh at the bend, ran on strongly in the straight to join issue and share the minor money
Sat fourth on the rails behind the speed, held that stalking role till the 800, moved up in the centre turning for home from about fourth, briefly threatening at the 300, then faded slightly to finish a handy fifth
Jumped smartly to take the early lead, dictated terms past 1400 and 1200, still in front nearing the 800, came under pressure as Acropolis went past, turned for home from second, weakened steadily in the straight to finish midfield
After a proper jump dropped back to be last early, remained at the tail past the 1400 and 1000 while racing wide, still near the rear around the bend from about ninth, made some late headway in the straight to finish just behind mid-division
Came out well to sit third behind Merchant of Venice and Acropolis, continued in that striking position past the 1200 and 1000, ranged up outside at the 800 from third, under pressure by the bend, failed to quicken in the straight and finished eighth
Lost about three lengths at the start, then rushed up mid-race to join the pack, raced outside midfield past the 1200 and 1000 from roughly sixth, could not improve approaching the bend, dropped out in the straight to finish last
