Smooth beginning, shifted into a stalking role behind the front-runners, travelled comfortably mid-pack mid-race, swung into the home turn in fifth, then produced a strong, sustained run in the straight to grab second without troubling the winner
Started on even keel, tucked just behind the main bunch early, raced unhurried through the middle stages, negotiated the home bend around sixth, then improved steadily under pressure to run on gamely and finish an eye-catching third at the post
Nice break, quickly settled in the first half of the field, kept in touch as tempo steadied mid-race, cornered for home in third, shifted out for a clear run and kept on steadily to finish close up in fourth without finding an extra gear
Clean jump, allowed to settle off the speed, tracked the midfield group throughout the back straight, took the final bend in seventh, then stayed on one-paced under urging in the straight, passing a few tiring rivals to claim a minor share
Level start, dropped into a midfield pocket while leaders stretched them out, raced evenly in the centre of the pack mid-race, turned for home in eighth, stayed on without a sharp turn of foot and finished respectably in the ruck
Out evenly, restrained to race just worse than midfield early, lost a length or two as the field strung out mid-race, took the home turn around ninth, then plugged on down the centre, keeping on at the one pace to finish midfield
Started on even keel, settled toward the rear as the early speed went on, never really improved position along the backstretch, swung wide into the straight from around tenth, stayed on at the same tempo and beat only a few in the closing stages

Even start, soon at the tail of the field as the leaders went ahead, struggled to keep up mid-race, turned for home last in twelfth, only laboured in the final furlong and finished well behind, making no significant impression
Level start, failed to muster and was quickly among the backmarkers, remained there through the middle stages, cornered for home still in the rear division, stayed on dourly without threatening and finished towards the tail end
Broke on terms, allowed to settle last as the field went ahead, never improved position on the back straight, took the final turn at the rear in twelfth, came under strong pressure but weakened further to finish one of the last, well beaten
