Raced fourth till the bend, moved up stylishly approaching the turn, produced a dazzling run down the centre inside the last furlong, swept past the front-runners and drew clear close home for a superb victory.
Settled midfield on the inside early, began to improve gradually approaching the home turn, switched lanes in the straight, finished on powerfully inside the last 100m to grab the runner-up spot with a late surge.
Jumped out smartly and led comfortably till the bend, came into the straight three lengths clear, ridden hard inside the last furlong, but found the winner too good in the end and had to settle for third.
Raced third early, was pushed along from the 600m to stay in touch, came wide into the straight, tried hard under pressure but couldn’t find extra acceleration, finishing close behind the placed horses in fourth.
Raced second till entering the straight, was ridden out to challenge the leader, looked threatening momentarily but failed to quicken when asked and weakened slightly in the final 100m to finish fifth.
Raced in the rear half till the bend, urged to improve past the 400m, made some progress through the middle in the straight, and stayed on evenly to finish in sixth place without troubling the leaders.
Settled towards the rear early, came under pressure approaching the bend, turned wide for home, tried hard under urgings but lacked finishing punch and ended up in seventh position.
Raced in the rear bunch throughout, pushed along from the 600m, made a mild forward move along the inside turning for home, but failed to pick up momentum and finished eighth.
Missed the kick slightly, trailed the field early, raced wide throughout, made no impression in the straight despite being ridden out, and finished ninth without ever being in contention.
Settled last from the start, never raised any gallop of note, drifted further back turning for home, and finished well behind the field, clearly outpaced throughout the race.
