Smooth beginning, raced behind Mandolin through the early and middle stages, swung for home in sixth, ran strongly along the inside lane in the straight and chased the winner gamely without matching the final burst
Level start, sat in the latter half behind Sheeba and Natural Warrior, negotiated the bend around ninth, stayed balanced on straightening and finished on steadily between runners to grab a late third
Fluent jump, strode to the front early and led comfortably, held the advantage at the 500 in first, still clear at 200 before tiring, drifting back inside the last furlong to finish a weakening fourth
