Got off well, quickly into second behind Rosario passing the 1400, stalking the leader throughout, turned for home in 3rd or 4th, then galloped strongly up on the outside in the straight before being overhauled late to finish a close third
Nice break, handy on the inside early, in third as they passed the 1400, still prominent at the 1200, hugged the far-side rail turning for home in 2nd, stayed on in the straight but was swamped late to finish just behind the first three
Broke level, settled toward the rear early behind Sovereign King, racing on the outside as they passed the thousand, around 7th at that stage, began a forward move approaching the bend, loomed up in the straight but could not quicken with the top trio
