Got off evenly and held a steady position along the rails, waited patiently till the home turn, slipped through an inviting gap inside, quickened impressively under strong handling, surged clear close home, displayed fine acceleration to win well.
Was unhurried early, raced in mid-division, angled out turning for home, produced a sustained run down the centre, fought hard inside the last 100 metres, but found the winner too good, finishing a resolute second.
Left the gates smartly and settled close behind the pace, travelled fluently till the bend, switched lanes for a clear passage, responded well under urging, stayed on gamely to finish a close third, genuine in defeat.
Was quickly into stride and moved up to race prominently, chased the early leader till the bend, tried to make a bid inside the last furlong, but couldn’t sustain the effort, finishing fourth, ran with credit.
Settled nicely in mid-pack, kept improving around the outer, made a mild forward move entering the straight, stayed on under pressure but without showing extra gears, ended fifth, capable of better with sharper timing.
Began alertly and raced handily in fourth early, held position till the final turn, came under pressure inside the last 300 metres, kept on at one pace, finishing sixth, needs a bit more spark in finish.
Jumped briskly and led early by a couple of lengths, set a fair tempo till the 600, headed soon after turning for home, dropped back gradually, weakened in the last furlong, finished seventh, early speed noted.
Was a shade slow at the jump, travelled wide most of the way, never looked comfortable in running, made no impact in the straight, weakened further to finish eighth, best ignored for now.
Came out well from the gates but was soon overtaken, drifted backward as the race progressed, tailed off into the straight, offered no response, finished last, clearly outpaced throughout.
